Cincon Electronics introduces its latest CQB150W14 series, an ultra-wide input DC-DC converter boasting a 14:1 ratio, providing 150 W of regulated output power. This compact unit fits the standard quarter brick size dimensions of 2.28 x 1.45 inches (57.8 x 36.8 mm). The series holds safety certifications for IEC/UL 62368-1 and features 3000 Vac isolation (input to output).
Available in single outputs of 5, 12, 15, 24, 28, and 54 VDC, this series offers extra advantages, such as the trim function, allowing adjustment from 54 VDC down to 48 VDC, and a remote on/off function. It complies with EN 50155 (with external circuits), Shock & Vibration EN 61673, and Fire & Smoke EN 45545-2, making it suitable for railway applications.
For added flexibility, optional models with BUS pin and external UVLO adjustment functions are also on offer. The BUS pin feature streamlines system design by enabling designers to extend or maintain holdup time, reduce inrush current, and minimize capacitor size, ultimately saving space in end devices.
The CQB150W14 presents an exceptionally broad input voltage range spanning from 12 to 160 VDC, effectively covering typical distributed voltages within railway power systems. Additionally, it has outstanding high efficiency of up to 90.5% and operates reliably across a wide temperature range from -40°C to +105°C. This series is suitable for use at high altitudes, with a maximum limit of 5000m, and offers an impressive MTBF of up to 990k hours.
The CQB150W14 series is safeguarded by input UVLO, output over-current/voltage, and continuous short-circuit protection. With safety certifications like IEC/UL 62368-1, EN 50155 (with external circuits), and EN 45545-2, it meets essential railway market standards. It also fulfills requirements for interruptions of voltage supply Class S3 and voltage change-over Class C2 based on Cincon-referenced circuitry.
This series is suitable for various railway applications such as signal systems, TCMS systems, communication systems, door systems, display systems, and broadcasting systems. It is also ideal for applications such as telecom transponders, automation equipment, test & measurement instruments, radar systems, power management systems, industrial control systems, and other industrial applications.
