Torex Unveils Step Down DC-DC Converters for Space Constrained Applications

Torex Semiconductor has introduced the XC9291 series, featuring 600 mA synchronous rectification DC/DC converters with HiSAT-COT control. These converters, with a small size of 0.8 x 0.45 mm for the coil and 0.6 x 0.3 mm for ceramic capacitors, offer a reduced mounting area of just 3.15 mm², ideal for miniaturized and low-profile equipment such as mobile devices.

The increased oscillation frequency enables efficient operation, achieving an efficiency of up to 90.0% while minimizing on-resistance and current consumption. This makes the XC9291 series perfect for battery-powered applications requiring compactness and energy efficiency.

Additionally, the HiSAT-COT control technology ensures high-speed transient response, maintaining output voltage stability during load fluctuations, which is crucial for applications like FPGA requiring fast response and voltage stability.
