Monolithic Power Systems, a leading company in high-performance power solutions, has unveiled the MP6590 a driver for a high-side N-channel power MOSFET. It generates a gate drive voltage exceeding the input supply to drive an N-channel gate. It can source and sink 1 A of current to quickly enable and disable large power MOSFETs.
The MP6590 can operate on supply voltages up to 80V . Internal safety features include under-voltage lockout (UVLO) and thermal shutdown. It is available in an FCQFN (3 mm x 4 mm) package with wettable flanks. A low-voltage (LV) version, with a lower gate drive voltage and UVLO, is available for special orders.
