Nisshinbo Micro Devices Introduces Dual Channel Power Operational Amplifier for Battery-Powered Equipment

Nisshinbo Micro Devices released the NL6002, a precision, low power, rail-to-rail input/output, high EMC performance, and dual operational amplifier.

Precision measurement equipment uses a variety of sensors to optimize monitoring, control, and energy efficiency. For highly accurate measurements, not only sensors but also highly accurate and reliable operational amplifiers are essential.

The NL6002 is a precision operational amplifier that achieves an input offset voltage of 150 μV (max.), offset voltage drift of 0.9 μV/°C (max.), and high EMC performance even with low-voltage operation from 1.6 V and low supply current of 15 μA/ch (typ.). The product is ideal for battery-powered sensors thanks to its low-voltage operation and low supply current. Combined with a high-precision sensor, the NL6002 improves the performance and reliability of customers' products.

Key features

1. Amplification with Small Error over a Wide Temperature Range Using Low-Drift Technology with Linear Operation

The NL6002 uses a unique trimming technology named Xtended trimming to achieve low offset and low drift characteristics. With this technology, this product achieves a drift performance of 0.9 μV/°C (max.), which was difficult to achieve with conventional trimming methods. It is industry-leading*1 low drift performance for linear operational amplifiers, enabling amplification with small errors over a wide temperature range.

2. Rail-to-Rail Input/Output with Low-Voltage Operation (from 1.6V)

The NL6002 is ideal for a variety of battery-powered sensor applications thanks to its low-voltage operation and low supply current. In addition, the rail-to-rail input/output design enables efficient processing of input signals even with limited supply voltage during battery operation. This increases system design flexibility and makes it suitable for a wide range of applications.

3. High EMC Performance for Reduced Rework Risk and Stable Application Operation

Electromagnetic noise interferes with the operation of electronic components. It can cause them to malfunction or fail. If a problem arises during noise immunity evaluation, the process begins with root cause analysis, followed by design changes, and then back to the selection of components to be mounted on the product.

The high EMC performance of the NL6002 contributes to reduced rework risk and stable application operation, making it suitable for use in industrial equipment sensors and harsh environments such as factories.
