The AP3927DS7-13 from Diodes Incorporated is an Offline AC-DC Regulator IC that requires an AC input voltage of 85-277 V. It provides an output current of 360 mA. This regulator only requires a few external components and therefore, provides a low bill of material (BOM) cost solution. It integrates a controller and a 700 V power MOSFET in a single monolithic package. This AC-DC converter supports fixed frequency continuous conduction mode (CCM) under heavy load and pulse frequency modulation (PFM) mode under light load. The peak current used by this converter is very low for light load operation, which ensures an excellent audible noise-free performance.   

This offline AC-DC regulator IC is equipped with multiple protection features such as under-voltage lockout, short-circuit protection, over-temperature protection, and over-load protection to enhance safety and reliability. It also includes a frequency dithering mechanism to suppress electromagnetic interference (EMI). This converter is available in a surface-mount package that measures 4.85 x 5.90 mm and is ideal for home appliances, industrial controls, standby/auxiliary power supplies, and IoT applications.
