The STN790A from STMicroelectronics is a PNP Transistor that is ideal for power management, voltage regulation in bias supply circuits, switching regulators in battery chargers, and heavy load driver applications. It has a collector-emitter breakdown voltage of -30 V, an emitter-base voltage of up to -5 V, and a saturated collector-emitter voltage of less than -0.15 V. This PNP transistor has a continuous collector current of up to -3 A and a peak collector current of less than -6 A. It is manufactured using low-voltage PNP planar technology with the help of base island layout, thereby resulting in excellent high-gain performance and very low saturation voltage. This transistor is available in a surface-mount package that measures 6.3 x 6.7 mm.
