The HAB 80-S from LEM is an Automotive Current Transducer that is designed for DC, AC, or pulsed-current measurements in high-power and low-voltage automotive applications. It contains galvanic isolation between the primary circuit (high power) and the secondary circuit (electronic circuit). The current transducer requires a unipolar DC power supply of 5 V and has a primary current of up to 80 A. It uses an open loop hall effect technology and provides a pulse width modulated output signal which is proportional to the magnetic induction generated by the primary current.
The HAB 80-S from LEM offers good accuracy for high and low current ranges and has excellent linearity. The current transducer has low thermal offset drift and thermal gain drift. It is available in a hermetically sealed package and is ideal for battery pack monitoring, hybrid vehicles, EV, and utility vehicle applications.
