The AP61300Q from Diodes Incorporated is an Automotive Qualified Non-Isolated DC-DC Converter that steps down an input voltage from 2.4 V to 5.5 V to an output voltage of 0.6 V. This synchronous buck converter has a continuous output current of 3 A. It provides a switching frequency of 2.2 MHz and has an efficiency of up to 84%. This step-down converter consists of a 70 mΩ high-side power MOSFET and a 50 mΩ low-side power MOSFET to provide a highly efficient step-down DC-DC conversion. It employs pulse frequency modulation and pulse width Modulation techniques to offer a programmable operation mode using the enable pin. This AEC-Q100 qualified buck converter provides over-voltage protection, thermal shutdown, and limits peak and valley currents to protect the circuit against overcurrent or short circuit-related damages.

The AP61300Q is available in a surface-mount package and is ideal for automotive power systems, automotive infotainment, automotive instrument clusters, automotive telematics, and advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS).
