The BD9S402MUF-CE2 from ROHM Semiconductor is an Automotive-Qualified Synchronous Buck DC-DC Converter that converts an input voltage of 2.7 - 5.5 V to an output voltage of 0.6 - 0.75 V. It has a switching frequency of 2.2 MHz. This converter is based on QuiCur technology and utilizes a current mode control algorithm to ensure fast transient response performance. It consists of built-in low ON resistor power MOSFETs at both low and high sides and a phase compensation circuit to provide accurate measurements of parameters. This AEC-Q100-qualified converter embeds a small inductor due to the high switching frequency and integrates a few external components to enable various applications. It is equipped with a built-in soft start function, under-voltage lockout (UVLO), short-circuit protection (SCP), over-voltage protection (OVP), over-current protection (OCP), and thermal shutdown (TSD) to prevent false trigger or over-load related damages. This RoHS-compliant converter is available in a surface-mount package that measures 3 x 3 x 1 mm and is ideal for electronic equipment and automotive applications.
