The SiC431AED-T1-GE3 from Vishay is a Synchronous Buck DC-DC Converter that converts an input voltage of 4.5 - 24 V to an output voltage of 0.6 V. It has a switching frequency of 1 MHz and an efficiency of 97%. This converter’s architecture supports ultrafast transient response with minimum output capacitance and tight ripple regulation under very light load conditions. It includes an internal compensation circuit and does not require any external ESR network to ensure loop stability. This DC-DC converter incorporates a power-saving scheme operating in an ultrasonic mode that significantly increases light load efficiency.

The SiC431AED-T1-GE3 integrates over-voltage protection (OVP), cycle-by-cycle over-current protection (OCP), thermal shutdown (TSD), and under-voltage lockout protection (UVLO) circuitries to prevent short-circuit of false trigger related damages. This RoHS-compliant converter is available in a surface-mount package that measures 4 x 4 x 0.75 mm and is ideal for 5 V, 12 V, and 24 V input rail POLs, desktops, notebooks, servers, industrial computing, industrial automation, and consumer electronics applications.
