The SCL80D-13MSBBN0 from SET Electronics is an Inrush Current-Limiting Negative Temperature Coefficient Thermistor that is ideal for switch-mode power supplies, transformers, inverters, soft-start motors, LED driver circuits, and halogen lamp applications. It has a current rating of 2.5 A and a resistance of 80 ohms. This negative temperature coefficient (NTC) thermistor is designed with a new ceramic material and homogenization process to achieve a volume-efficient and high-performance design. It increases the temperature of the resistive body due to self-heating and decreases the resistance value, which helps in protecting electronic components.

This thermistor quickly responds to inrush current or surges with strong surge suppression capability and maintains highly stable electrical characteristics. It is available in a through-hole package that measures 6 x 15 mm.
