The BD950N1G-C from ROHM Semiconductor is an Automotive Qualified Fixed/Adjustable Linear Regulator that is designed to offer low current consumption for power supplies. It requires an input voltage of 3 V to 42 V. This linear regulator provides an adjustable output voltage of 3.234 V to 5.1 V and has a low dropout voltage of less than 1800 mV. It delivers an output current of up to 150 mA. This regulator is based on Nano Cap topology that connects an external resistive divider to the ADJ pin to control the output voltage and integrates an enable feature to turn on or disable the device.
This AEC-Q100 qualified regulator utilizes under-voltage lockout (UVLO), over-current protection (OVP), and thermal shutdown circuitries to prevent false operation and short-circuit-related damages. It is available in surface-mount packages that measure 2.90 x 2.80 x 1.25 mm and is ideal for car infotainment systems and automotive (power train, body ECU) applications.
