The ALD2724PBL from Advanced Linear Devices is a Dual-Channel Monolithic CMOS Operational Amplifier that is ideal for sensor interface circuits, transducer biasing circuits, biochemical probe interface, signal conditioning, error correction, periodic in-system calibration, and portable instrument applications. It requires a supply voltage of 6.5-10 V (single) and an input offset and bias current of 0.01 pA. This amplifier provides an output voltage from -4.998 V to +4.998 V, a large signal voltage gain of 150 dB, and a common-mode rejection ratio (CMRR) of 90 dB. It is a ready-to-use off-the-shelf solution with an input and output voltage close to the positive and negative supply voltage. This op-amp is an alternative to the popular JFET input amplifier for applications with low operating voltage requirements.
This operational amplifier’s rail-to-rail input and output technologies expand the signal voltage range and allow several analog serial stages to be implemented without losing the operating voltage margin. The output stage can drive 400 pF capacitive and 1.5 kilo-Ohms resistive loads. This amplifier is equipped with short-circuit protection to prevent over-current-related damages. It is available in a surface-mount package that measures 17.27 x 7.62 mm.
