The C451PD from Powerex is a Phase Control Thyristor that has been designed for phase control applications. It has a break-over voltage of up to 1400 V and a break-over current of less than 1500 A (average). This thyristor has a gate trigger voltage of up to 5 V and a gate trigger current of 200 mA. It includes a proven amplifying gate to enhance trigger sensitivity. This SCR thyristor has low on-stage voltage, high di/dt and dv/dt capability, excellent surge, and i2t rating for reliable switching, reduced energy losses, and protection against damage from electrical stresses. It is available in a disc package that measures 73.7 x 25.4 mm and is ideal for power supplies, motor controls, and VAR generator applications.
