The LTC4123EDC#TRMPBF from Analog Devices is a Low Power Wireless Linear Single-Cell NiMH Charger that is ideal for hearing aids, smart cards, fitness devices, and moving and/or rotating equipment applications. It requires an input voltage of 2.2 V. This charger IC includes an external programming resistor that allows setting the charge current up to 25 mA. It benefits from a temperature-compensated charge voltage feature that protects the NiMH battery and prevents overcharging.

This charger IC allows products to be charged while sealed within enclosures and eliminates bulky connectors in space-constrained environments. It prevents the charging of Zinc-Air batteries as well as batteries inserted with reverse polarity. This charger pauses charging if its temperature is too hot or too cold. It features an internal timer that provides time-based charging termination.  This charger IC benefits from an integrated rectifier with an overvoltage limit. It is available in a thermally-enhanced surface-mount package that measures 2 x 2 mm.
