The KTE7000 from Kinetic Technologies is a Wireless Power Receiver IC that supports WPC/Qi standard v1.3 Baseline Power Profile (BPP) specifications. It requires an input voltage of 25 V and delivers an output power of 5 W. This wireless power receiver IC integrates a full-synchronous rectifier and an LDO to efficiently convert the wireless AC power into DC power. It provides power management, protection, and communication interface with the power transmitter using an embedded microcontroller that includes ROM and OTP memory. This IC magnetically couples to an AC source using an inductor connected across its input pins, thereby delivering a fully regulated DC power.

The KTE7000 supports an I2C interface to monitor or configure performance parameters and uses standard firmware with an externally connected resistor to configure parameters related to foreign object detection (FOD). The receiver IC includes over-voltage protection and NTC over-temperature protection circuitries to prevent short-circuit-related damages. It is available in a wafer-level package that measures 2.66 x 3.90 mm and is ideal for mobile internet devices, IoT, battery-powered medical, industrial, wireless headsets, headphones, and earbuds applications.
