The WP300TX01-I/ML01 from Microchip Technology is an Automotive Qualified Wireless Power Transmitter Controller IC that has been designed to wirelessly transmit power from the embedded chip. It requires an input voltage of 11 - 37 V and delivers an output power of up to 300 W. This wireless charging transmitter IC integrates three outputs for general-purpose LEDs and five inputs for the switch interface. It uses built-in UART and SPI serial communication channels to transmit and receive commands and signals from the paired wireless receiver device. This transmitter IC implements a reliable foreign object detection (FOD) to detect any unwanted objects that might degrade the performance or cause damage to the transmitter.

The WP300TX01-I/ML01 includes overvoltage protection (OVP), under voltage protection (UVP), overcurrent protection (OCP), overpower protection (OPP), and over-temperature protection (OTP) to prevent short-circuit-related damages. This AEC-Q100-qualified transmitter IC is available in a surface-mount package that measures 8 x 8 x 0.9 mm.
