Electric vehicle markets continue to grow, albeit at a slower rate than many had suspected in 2024. In order to reinvigorate this growth, lower cost, more efficient models will be required to access new parts of the consumer market.

There are multiple methods and factors that will help enable this with a critical focus being the drivetrain. As the most expensive component, the battery takes the fore, but efficiency improvements in the motors, power electronics, and how this all links together can improve range, or reduce the amount of battery required for the same range. Hence, reducing costs.
