The FMC-461NT from Crane Aerospace & Electronics is a Single Phase EMI Input Filter that is specifically designed to reduce the input line reflected ripple current of Interpoint MFK, MFX, MWR, MHV, and MHF+ Series of DC-DC converters. It has a rated AC voltage of 0 - 50 V and a rated current of up to 2.7 A. This filter can be used to filter signals from combinations of the lower power converters up to the rated current of the filter and uses only ceramic capacitors to ensure operation under high temperatures. It uses a fast-reacting transient suppressor that clamps the input voltage to approximately 47 volts, thereby protecting the DC-DC converter from damage due to induced line transients. This EMI filter offers a low dc resistance design that results in a maximum power loss of less than 2%. It is available in a module that measures 0.13 x 0.3 mm and is ideal for military, aerospace, and high-reliability applications.
