EV Acceleration Calculator

EV Acceleration calculator models the dynamic performance from standstill to target speeds(100 km/h), to predict 0-100 km/h times accurately. This calculator can be used to optimise EV powertrains for superior launch performance.
Enter the Wheel Radius, Target Vehicle Velocity, Vehicle Mass, Motor Torque and Gear Ratio to calculate the estimated 0-100 km/h time and the constant acceleration for electric vehicles.

This calculator computes electric vehicle acceleration time using parameters such as wheel radius, target vehicle velocity, vehicle mass, motor torque and gear ratio for precise time-to-speed predictions.

Example:

For an EV of 1700 kg, having a Wheel Radius of 0.32 m, Motor Torque of 279 Nm and Gear Ratio of 12, to reach a target velocity of 100 km/h,

Force at Wheels = (279 x 12)/0.32 = 10462.5 N

Vehicle Acceleration = (279 x 12)/ (1700 x 0.32) = 6.154 m/s2

Time Taken = 100/ (3.6 x 6.154) = 4.513 s
