The DSF500 from XP Power is a DC EMC filter with surge protection designed for defense and avionics applications to provide active surge protection and EMC filtering for the conducted emissions of DC-DC converters. This filter requires an input voltage of 10–33 V DC and delivers output currents of up to 28 A with an efficiency of up to 98%. It is built to withstand input transients up to ±250 V for 70 µs and features remote inhibit control, overtemperature protection, and automatic output clamping below 36 VDC. This EMI filter protects against the conducted susceptibility specified in MIL-STD-461G and for surges and spikes as specified in MIL-STD-1275A-E and MIL-STD-704A-F. It is available in a PCB-mount package measuring 24.4 × 14.7 × 10.8 mm and is ideal for healthcare, home healthcare, and medical diagnostics applications.
