The EPC21701 from Efficient Power Conversion is an eToF Laser Driver IC that is ideal for a flyback control switch, Class-E amplifier, forward control switch, time-of-flight measurement in gesture recognition, driver awareness, robotic vision, industrial safety, and time-of-flight (ToF) modules in camera modules, laptops, and smartphone applications. This driver IC requires an input voltage of 5 - 60 V. It consists of a gate driver circuit, a power FET stage, capacitors, and inductors. This laser driver IC is manufactured using EPC’s proprietary GaN IC technology and is controlled using a 3.3 V logic supply source at frequencies of over 50 MHz to modulate laser driving currents of up to 15 A.

This RoHS-compliant IC has a low inductance footprint in a small and compact package, thereby improving reliability and performance. It is available as a passivated die that measures 1.7 x 1 mm.
