The SRK1004DTR from STMicroelectronics is a Synchronous Rectifier Controller optimized for Non-Complementary Actively Clamped Flyback converter (NC-ACF), resonant flyback, and quasi-resonant flyback converters. This power management IC (PMIC) requires a supply voltage of 9 V. It can operate in both low-side and high-side configurations, with two different turn-off delays. This PMIC provides a gate-drive output suitable for N-channel logic-level or standard level power MOSFETs. It features a fast short-circuit detector and a high-voltage sensing input for SR MOSFET drain-source voltage. This PMIC has a very low operating current of 580 µA and a quiescent current of 230 µA. It has an operating frequency of up to 500 kHz. This secondary-side synchronous rectification controller is available in a surface-mount package that measures 2 x 2 mm and is ideal for high-power-density USB-PD adapters/chargers, USB-PD wall-plugs, and in-wall smart outlets.
