Cosel has introduced a 3000 W AC/DC enclosed power supply with an adjustable output voltage between 100 VDC and 350 VDC for industrial applications requiring a quick output voltage response.

Active current sharing makes it easy to parallel up to ten FETA3000BC units for additional power or redundancy. The FETA3000BC is equipped with COSEL’s advanced digital microprocessor technology, making it straightforward to parallel up to ten units for additional power or redundancy. For high efficiency, the FETA3000BC includes an active filter and employs a phase-shift, full-bridge topology offering an efficiency level of up to 93%. Aimed at demanding industrial applications, the FETA3000BC’s high-tech design provides a rapid response to output voltage adjustments across the entire range.

Industrial applications such as laser, plasma processing, and industrial heating require the output voltage of their power supplies to rapidly adjust within the range of 100 VDC to 350 VDC in less than 2 milliseconds in order to provide an accurate voltage to the emitting element. This requires very tight, specific power control and due to COSEL’s propriety fast response technology, the FETA3000BC’s response time across the full output voltage range is just 1.5 milliseconds, guaranteeing high performance levels to the final equipment.

With an input voltage range of 170 to 264 VAC, the FETA3000BC-250 provides a nominal output voltage of 250 VDC, which can be adjusted from 180 VDC to 350 VDC using the built-in potentiometer, or from 100 VDC to 350 VDC using the analog trimming control function available at the interface connector. At 230 VAC input, the nominal output current is 12 A, and the maximum efficiency is 93%.

The FETA3000BC series utilizes COSEL’s digital microprocessor technology to incorporate a highly sophisticated voltage and current balance control. This makes it easier for system integrators to connect units in parallel or series. The technology enables the parallel connection of up to ten devices with no additional external components. Additionally, the sophisticated digital control optimizes switching parameters to reduce energy consumption by optimizing efficiency.

The FETA3000BC incorporates inrush current limiting circuitry, protection against overcurrent and overvoltage, and thermal protection. Power good and alarm signals are accessible via the interface panel, and their status is indicated by an LED. RC connector allows for remote control of the device.

To reduce audible noise, the FETA3000BC power supply series is equipped with a thermo-regulated fan whose speed is automatically altered based on actual cooling requirements. Designed for 1U height integrated industrial applications, the FETA3000BC measures 102 x 41 x 340 mm and weighs a maximum of 2.3kg.
