MCC Unveils Automotive Grade TVS Diode for Electrostatic Discharge Protection

MCC has unveiled its latest TVS diode that is designed for unrelenting overvoltage protection in a compact DO-218AB package: SM6S24AHE3.

Safeguarding sensitive electronic components from voltage transients and ESD has never been easier. With an exceptional peak pulse power of up to 4600 W (10/1000 µs waveform) and a working voltage of 24 V, this TVS diode gets the job done in the most demanding auto and industrial applications. For added assurance, this component is also AEC-Q101 qualified to comply with stringent industry standards.

Its IEC 61000-4-2 (ESD) protection rating is an impressive ±30 kV for both air and contact discharge, meaning common electrical disturbances aren’t cause for concern.

In addition to high peak pulse power, our new TVS diode can handle up to operating junction temperatures up to 175°C.

For dependable resilience no matter what the operating environment holds, MCC’s SM6S24AHE3 is the reliable solution for protection from transients, ESD, and overvoltage.

The full SMD6S TVS Series offers the same robust protection in working voltages from 10 V to 43 V.
