Cincon has unveiled its latest NCS01W8 series, an ultra-wide input non-isolated DC-DC converter boasting a ratio up to 8:1, providing 16.8 W of regulated output power. The NCS01W8 series operates within an input voltage range of 6V to 72 VDC and offers regulated output voltages including 3.3 V, 5 V, 9V, 12 V, 15 V, and 24 V. With an efficiency rating of up to 95%, these converters are engineered for high performance. The compact dimensions of 0.48” x 0.34” x 0.69” allow for easy integration into tight spaces, while the operating case temperature range of -40°C to +105°C ensures reliability in diverse environments.

The NCS01W8 series is built to provide exceptional performance with features such as voltage set point accuracy of ±2% at full load and output voltage regulation that maintains stability under varying load conditions. The converters exhibit minimal output ripple and noise, with peak-to-peak values not exceeding 75 mV. Furthermore, they are equipped with dynamic characteristics that include a recovery time of just 250 μs for transient response, ensuring quick recovery from load changes.
Full Protections
Safety and reliability are paramount in the NCS01W8 series. These converters come fully protected with Over Current Protection (OCP), Over Temperature Protection (OTP), Under Voltage Lockout (UVLO), and Short Circuit Protection (SCP). The OCP feature ensures that the device can handle up to 165% of rated output current in hiccup mode with auto recovery, while the OTP activates at temperatures exceeding 150°C. The SCP provides continuous protection against short circuits, allowing for automatic recovery after fault conditions are resolved. Additionally, the design includes two case pins that ensure stable operation even in harsher vibration environments, enhancing overall system reliability.
