Gilbarco Veeder-Root has announced the launch of Konect’s 400 kW All-in-One EV Charger, the first ultra-fast platform purpose-built for fuel and convenience retail. Combining charging performance with a single, integrated payment and operations solution, Konect is driving traditional fueling into the electric era with the simplicity and consistency customers expect.
“EV charging has become unnecessarily complicated. Early adopters traded simple fuel pumps for disjointed systems and applications,” said Merrick Glass, President of Konect at Gilbarco Veeder-Root. “Our All-in-One 400 kW EV Charger is a game changer. It delivers an ultra-fast charge, while integrating convenient payment and software management systems that make electrification intuitive for both drivers and operators.”
Current EV charging systems force retailers to manage multiple apps, fragmented hardware and disparate vendors, creating unnecessary complications and inconsistent driver experiences. Previous ultra-fast chargers have promised speed, but failed to deliver the reliability, manageability and integrated commerce solutions that forecourts require.
Konect’s 400 kW platform addresses those problems by prioritising:
- Consistency: Integrated hardware and software, from forecourt to convenience store, deliver a single, seamless payment and loyalty experience at the point of charge.
- Day-one integration: Purpose-built APIs and deployment tools reduce complexity, enabling rapid pilot and commercial rollouts.
- Driver confidence: Ultra-fast 400 kW performance paired with a consistent user experience increases throughput and reduces failed charging events.
- Business operations: Simplified operations reduce vendor overhead and deliver the customer experience retailers need to compete in a fast-moving mobility market.
Konect’s platform reduces operational complexity, enhances customer satisfaction and enables retailers to capture the revenue and loyalty benefits of electrification without reworking their business models.
“Power is only part of the story,” Glass added. “The Konect platform is a charging solution designed to fit your business, not the other way around. By integrating Invenco’s FlexPay6 system into the charging platform technology, we’ve created a consistent customer experience and readied our retailers for a multi-energy future.”
System reliability, simplicity and connectivity drive customer behaviour. Konect’s 2025 Driver Survey found that nearly one-third of EV drivers report avoiding sites with unreliable or confusing chargers. Konect’s digital platform can be integrated from the forecourt to the convenience store, giving customers a seamless experience and enabling retailers to tie charging platforms to store loyalty programs.
