Jio-bp Pulse, the electric mobility brand of Jio-bp, is accelerating the build-out of India’s electric vehicle charging ecosystem with a comprehensive portfolio of fast charging and battery swapping solutions engineered to support the EV landscape. Designed to address critical requirements around charging speed, interoperability, uptime, and user experience, the company’s infrastructure targets electric two-wheelers, three-wheelers, passenger EVs, and commercial fleet applications.
Jio-bp Pulse’s deployment strategy includes a network of high-reliability EV charging stations featuring a mix of DC fast chargers and AC charging systems to accommodate varying vehicle architectures, battery sizes, and charging profiles. These stations are installed across high-traffic urban hubs, highways, residential clusters, commercial centers, and existing fuel retail outlets, ensuring wide geographic coverage while supporting both opportunity charging and long-dwell charging use cases. The multi-charger configuration enables optimized power utilization and reduces queuing by serving vehicles at different states of charge simultaneously.
Complementing the physical infrastructure is the Pulse Charge digital platform, a cloud-connected application that provides real-time station discovery, charger availability status, session initiation, energy monitoring, and automated billing. The platform supports fully cashless operation, integrating UPI, cards, net banking, and digital wallets, while enabling backend monitoring of charger health, utilization, and energy delivery. This digital layer enhances operational efficiency, predictive maintenance, and customer transparency.
In parallel, Jio-bp Pulse is advancing battery swapping technology for high-utilization two- and three-wheeler segments. The swapping stations are designed for rapid, automated battery exchange, significantly reducing vehicle downtime compared to conventional plug-in charging. Advanced tracking systems monitor battery usage, state of health, and asset location, improving safety, lifecycle management, and operational reliability. This approach is particularly suited for last-mile delivery fleets and shared mobility operators that demand maximum vehicle availability and predictable energy turnaround times.
Jio-bp Pulse is actively expanding its footprint across major metropolitan regions, including Mumbai, Delhi NCR, and Bengaluru, with a structured roadmap to extend coverage into Tier-I and Tier-II cities. The rollout aligns with India’s broader EV adoption goals by combining high-power charging hardware, intelligent energy management software, and scalable deployment models to support future growth in EV penetration.
