The VIPER11B from STMicroelectronics is an Energy-Saving Offline High-Voltage Converter. It integrates an 800 V avalanche-rugged power MOSFET, allowing ultra-wide VAC input range to be covered (85-265 V AC). This converter delivers an output power of up to 12 W in open-frame configurations and features ultra-low power consumption of less than 10 mW at 230 VAC in no-load conditions. It operates with a fixed switching frequency of 60 kHz with ±7% jitter to minimize EMI.

The VIPER11B benefits from protection circuits such as overload protection (OLP), input/output overvoltage protection (OVP), VCC clamp, and thermal shutdown.
