The ACS37035KLACTR-020B5 from Allegro MicroSystems is an Automotive-Qualified Chopped Current Sensor that has been factory-trimmed to provide high accuracy over the entire operating input range, without requiring customer-side adjustments. It requires a supply voltage of 5 V. This sensor has a current measurement range of ±20 A over a bandwidth of 1 MHz. It has a sensitivity of 100 mV/A (vs. temperature) and a voltage offset of ±15 mV (vs. temperature). This current sensor’s package construction provides high isolation by magnetically coupling the field generated by the current in the conductor to the monolithic Hall sensor IC. The applied current flowing through the conductor generates a magnetic field that is sensed by the IC and converted into a proportional output voltage.
This AEC-Q100 Grade 1-qualified sensor senses the current differentially in order to reject external common-mode fields and ensures no magnetic hysteresis. It offers a user-configurable fault detection threshold that protects the circuit against short-circuit conditions. This RoHS-compliant current sensor can withstand high surge power and has a low internal resistance conductor to achieve high power efficiency. It is available in a surface-mount package that measures 10.21 x 10.31 mm.
