The SSD-100A-C from Bourns is a Digital Isolated Shunt Current Sensor that has been designed to provide non-intrusive, isolated DC measurements. It requires a DC current of less than 100 A. This current transducer requires a supply voltage of 5- 60 V and an input current from -100 A to +100 A. It has an accuracy of ±0.1%. This current transducer provides a reinforced galvanic isolation of 1500 V (DC) for improved safety and noise immunity during measurements.
This RoHS-compliant current transducer consists of a 16-bit microcontroller (MCU) and a 24-bit analog to digital converter (ADC) to measure the DC current. It has a built-in CANbus interface using which the current readings can be readout at a data rate of 1 Mbaud. This transducer also offers error correction code (ECC) flash memory and its associated features, which include internal/external cyclic redundancy check (CRC) data error detection and advanced non-linear temperature compensation. This transducer is available in a screw-mount package that measures 3 x 16.4 mm and is ideal for EV charging stations, battery systems, renewable energy, and motor drive applications.
