The ADM4210 from Analog Devices is a Hot Swap Controller eFuse IC that is ideal for line cards, raid systems, industrial high-side switches/circuit breakers, and electronic circuit breaker applications. This eFuse IC requires an input voltage of 2.7 - 16.5 V. It employs an external sense resistor that provides an adjustable analog current limit and includes a circuit breaker. This eFuse IC has an internal charge pump to drive the gate terminal of the external N-channel FET. It benefits from automatic retry or latch-off during the current fault and has provision for under-voltage lockout (UVLO) protection.  This eFuse IC also allows protected board removal and insertion into a live backplane. It is available in a surface-mount package that measures 2.90 x 2.80 x 1 mm.
