The LTC4361 from Analog Devices is an Over-Voltage/Over-Current Protection Controller that safeguards 2.5 V to 5.5 V systems from input supply over-voltage levels. It has a voltage rating of up to 80 V and a current rating of 10 µA. This controller has a delayed start-up and adjustable dV/dt ramp-up for inrush current limiting. It features an over-current circuit breaker, over-voltage turn-off, gentle shutdown and reverse voltage protection mechanisms. This controller benefits from latch-off or auto-retry after a start-up time of 130 ms following a current surge.
