The SUMO MD HV2400-6P from Dana is an EV Traction Motor/Inverter that has been designed to interface directly with standard rear differentials, gearboxes, or e-axles. It delivers a continuous output power of 120 kW and a peak output power of 240 kW. This AEC-Q100-qualified motor provides a torque of 605 Nm and has a speed of 3500 rpm. It is based on the proven permanent magnet technology that delivers optimal efficiency and uses an outer rotor topology for maximum torque density. This AEC-Q200-qualified traction motor ensures low electromagnetic audible noise and low-cogging and ripple torque for better NVH. It provides an option to adjust the switching frequency for best-in-class power density and high inverter efficiency. This AEC-Q101-qualified EV motor/inverter utilizes Reflex gate driver technology to ensure high power and current density in a single package. It is available in an IP6K9K-rated module that measures 670 x 426 x 309 mm and is ideal for class 2 to 6 commercial vehicles, light to medium bus platforms, and off-highway applications.
