The HPTV EDU from Hofer Powertrain is a Torque Vectoring Electric Drive Unit.  It requires an input voltage of 800 V and has a nominal voltage of 650 V. This electric motor delivers a peak axle power of 614 kW and has a transmission efficiency of up to 97%. It has a peak axle torque of up to 5720 Nm and achieves a maximum axle speed of up to 2100 rpm. This EV motor incorporates an 800 V silicon carbide (SiC) dual inverter and features two permanent magnet synchronous motors (PMSMs) for active torque vectoring. It weighs less than 130 kg and measures 114 mm in length.
