The HyPer 9 IS from NetGain Motors is a Reluctance Motor that is ideal for mid-weight or heavy-weight vehicles and racing vehicles. It delivers a continuous output power of 38 kW, a peak output power of 95 kW, and has an efficiency of 95%. This motor provides a torque of 173 lb-ft and has a speed of up to 8000 rpm. It is a low-loss system based on synchronous reluctance internal permanent magnet motor (SRIPM) technology and consists of a 144 V brushless motor, a controller/inverter, a low-voltage wire harness, and a main contactor. The internal magnets are designed to produce significant torque over non-magnetic SR motors. It does not contain windings in the rotor, which results in negligible ohmic rotor losses. This motor also eliminates the need for internal cooling fans, further lowering system losses.

This reluctance motor’s constant and revolving fields rotate at synchronous speeds, thereby allowing for precise control with no rotor slip. It can be remotely controlled using SmartView software. This motor is available in a B-face-mount housing.
