The AF440 from Turntide Technologies is an Axial Flux Powertrain Traction Motor that is ideal for electric vehicles. It delivers an output power of 376 kW and has an efficiency of up to 95%. This motor provides a torque of 1040 Nm and has a speed of up to 5000 rpm. It can also act as a traction generator. This traction motor achieves excellent power and torque density with low cogging and ripple torque, which provide a noiseless operation in direct drive applications. It is designed to be driven by two inverters and can be used for inverters with supply voltage of 800 V (DC).  

This powertrain motor/generator includes 4 composite rotors that provide excellent rotor dynamic stability. It supports liquid-cooling for improved heat transfer and enhanced performance using water/glycol for system integration. This electric motor also has integrated PT100 temperature sensors on the winding to prevent over-heating. It measures 160 x 413 x 443 mm and has IP67-rated shafts for sealing.
