The A89505KESSR-J from Allegro Microsystems is an Automotive Qualified Full-Bridge Gate Driver that is designed to provide pulse width modulation (PWM) control for DC motors and actuators in conventional, hybrid, and electric vehicles. This gate driver has an input voltage from 5.5-50 V. It can be used to provide gate drive for all N-Channel external MOSFET bridge circuits. This full-bridge gate driver consists of a standard IN1/IN2 control logic to control the speed and direction of a DC motor with externally applied PWM control signals. It is based on a solid-state design that incorporates brushed DC motors to improve reliability and battery life. This gate driver is designed to minimize the external circuitry by replacing mechanical relays with solid-state drivers, thereby improving reliability. It provides crossover-current protection, MOSFET VDS protection, internal UVLO, and an adjustable current limit to protect against short-circuit-related damages.

This AEC-Q100 qualified gate driver is available in a surface-mount package that measures 6.50 x 6.40 mm and is ideal for window and door actuation, EV charger locks, electronic parking brakes, and folding mirror applications.
