The DG648BH45 from Dynex Semiconductor is a Gate Turn-Off Thyristor that is ideal for variable-speed AC motor drive inverters (VSDAC), uninterruptable power supplies (UPS), high voltage converters, choppers, welding, induction heating, and DC/DC converter applications. It has a break-over voltage of up to 4500 V and a break-over current of less than 1170 A. This thyristor has a gate trigger voltage of 1 V and a gate trigger current of 3 A. It offers high voltage and surge current withstanding capability and offers fault protection without requiring fuses. This GTO thyristor requires very less equipment size and weight, owing to its excellent turn-off capability. It has low acoustic cladding due to its reduced noise emissions, making it suitable to work even in harsh environments. This thyristor has double-side cooling that improves its thermal performance and thereby improves service reliability for longer equipment life.
