The SG301 from Ametherm is an Inrush Current Limiter that has been designed to suppress high in-rush current surges when power is applied to a system. It has an AC voltage rating of 120 V (RMS) and a current rating of 20 A. This current limiter has a resistance of 1 ohm. It lowers rectifier cost by reducing the required peak forward surge current rating, lowers the risk of noise and fuse failures, and offers high current capacity.
