The ESG 6 from Block is a Current-Controlled Inrush Current Limiter that has been designed to limit the inrush current present in power tools, transformers, and other loads with high switch-on or inrush currents. It has a voltage rating of up to 230 V and a current rating of 16 A. This inrush current limiter has a resistance of 7.8 ohms. It is current-controlled and includes a no-load detection feature, hence delivering full current limit protection, even if momentarily switched back on. This current limiter offers excellent moisture protection due to a robust plastic enclosure and is available in a DIN rail-mount package that measures 3.54 x 2.83 x 2.33 inches.
