The ESG 7 from Block is a Current-Controlled Inrush Current Limiter that has been designed to limit the inrush current present in power tools, transformers, and other loads with high switch-on or inrush currents. It has a voltage rating of up to 230 V and a current rating of 10 A. This inrush current limiter has a resistance of 7.8 ohms. It features dynamic limit times for optimum inrush of loads with high inrush currents. This inrush current limiter is current-controlled with no-load detection, hence making it full current limit protected, even if momentarily switched back on. It offers very good moisture protection due to XtraDenseFill resin encapsulation and can be used anywhere for stationary and mobile applications. This inrush current limiter has two main cables that incorporate a safety plug and safety coupling to ensure a high degree of protection. It is available in an IP20-rated chassis-mount package that measures 4.76 x 2.76 x 2.6 inches.
