The MF72-010D15 from Cantherm is a Negative Temperature Coefficient Thermistor that is designed for sensitive electronic applications. It conducts a maximum steady state current of up to 5 A and has a resistance of less than 10 ohms. This thermistor can limit the current surges while a power source is turned, thus providing a fast response to current surges and making it useful for sensitive applications. It decreases the resistance rapidly once the circuit becomes energized, leading to low power consumption and residual resistance. This thermistor has a high material constant (B value) and power handling capability that provides long-term stability and reliability for efficient power applications. It is available in a through-hole package that measures 17.5 x 39.5 x 6 mm and is ideal for power circuits of power supplies and inverters, uninterruptible power supplies (UPS), energy-saving lamps, electronic ballasts, filament protection of various types of lamps, and heating applications.
