The PTCEL17R121NTE from Vishay is an Automotive-Grade Positive Temperature Coefficient (PTC) Thermistor that is designed for inrush current limiting and overload protection.  It has a voltage rating of up to 800 V and a current rating of less than 40 A. This RoHS-compliant thermistor has a resistance of 120 ohms. It has higher energy absorption levels up to 240 J and a high number of inrush-power cycles. This AEC-Q200-Qualified thermistor is highly resistant against non-switching peak-powers. It is available in a through-hole package that measures 38 x 16.5 x 7.5 mm and is ideal for AC-DC and DC-DC converters, energy dump and DC-link circuits, emergency discharge circuits, onboard chargers, battery charging equipment, welding equipment, and motor drive applications.
