The LT3745EUJ-1#PBF from Analog Devices is a 16-Channel LED Driver that has been designed for large-screen display LED backlighting, mono-, multi-, full-color LED displays, LED billboards and signboard systems. It requires an input voltage of 6 - 55 V. This LED driver lights up to 75 mA/36 V of LEDs in series per channel and has a buck controller that generates an adaptive bus voltage supplying the parallel LED strings. It achieves ±4% LED current matching and a 0.5 µs minimum LED on-time at 50 mA per channel. This LED driver performs full diagnostic and protection against open/short LED and over-temperature faults with fault status sent back through the serial data interface. It features a cascadable 30 MHz LVDS serial data interface that makes this IC extremely suitable for large-screen LCD dynamic backlighting and mono-, multi- and full-color LED displays. This driver IC uses a TTL/CMOS serial data interface instead of LVDS for control. It is available in a surface-mount package that measures 6 x 6 x 0.75 mm.
