The AL58221T24E-13 from Diodes Incorporated is a 12-Channel RGB LED Driver that is ideal for indoor and outdoor LED video displays, architectural and decorative lighting, digital signage, LCD display backlighting, transportation signs, and billboard applications. It requires an input voltage of 3 - 5.5 V. This driver can support 12 open-drain constant-current sinking outputs, and each channel provides an output voltage of up to 24 V and an output current of 60 mA. It can be individually programmed through a digital interface to adjust its average output current. This LED driver has a double-edge trigger data clock input to increase data transfer with reduced electromagnetic interference (EMI) and enable a more efficient LED control. It has a 2-wire serial interface that supports Schmitt trigger input.
This driver allows cascading of up to 1030 devices and supports clock duty recovery for proper synchronization. It provides an adaptive pulse density modulation with an output current bilateral processing for visual refresh rate at reduced EMI.
