The NCL30001 from onsemi is a Single Stage Power Factor Correction (PFC) and Step-Down LED Driver that is ideal for medium- to high-power LED lighting applications. It supports power levels from 40 W to 150 W and operates using a continuous conduction mode (CCM) flyback topology to provide both power factor correction and step-down AC-DC conversion in a single stage. This power driver supports adjustable switching frequencies from 20 kHz to 250 kHz and employs proprietary Soft-Skip™ control and frequency jittering to reduce acoustic noise and minimize electromagnetic interference (EMI). It is equipped with protection features such as over-voltage protection, brown-out detection, cycle-by-cycle over-current limiting, internal overload timing, and thermal latch-off. This RoHS-compliant LED driver is available in a surface-mount SOIC-16 package that measures 9.9 x 6.0 x 1.75 mm.
