The BD61245EFV from ROHM Semiconductor is a Multifunction Single-phase Full-wave Fan Motor Driver IC that is ideal for fan motors for general consumer equipment of desktop PC and projector applications. It requires an input voltage of 4 - 16 V and provides an output current of up to 1.8 A. This brushless motor driver includes an H-bridge power DMOS FET, control logic circuit, pre-driver for DMOS FET, filter, multiple A/D converters, protection circuits, comparators, and a reference oscillator. It uses either a PWM input or a DC input voltage to control the speed of the motor while allowing the input/output duty slope to be optimally adjusted. This RoHS-compliant motor driver’s configuration is restructured and simplified by reducing the number of external parts and simplifying the settings compared to conventional drivers. It is available in a surface-mount package that measures 5.00 x 6.40 x 1.00 mm.
