The 3.3kW OBC from KYOCERA AVX is a Compact Air-Cooled On-Board Charger designed for efficient electric vehicle charging applications. It delivers an output power of 3.3 kW with a DC output voltage range of 150–420 V and a maximum output current of 10 A. The charger supports a wide AC input voltage range from 85 - 264 VAC and operates at a frequency range of 49–61 Hz. It has a high efficiency of 96% and a power factor greater than 0.99.
This OBC is air-cooled and supports CAN 2.0B / CAN-FD communication protocols for seamless vehicle interface. It is compliant with SAE J1772 and IEC 61851 standards for EVSE communication (CP/PP). The OBC also provides a 12 VDC, 2 A auxiliary supply for system support. It is available as a module that measures 200 x 175 x 71 mm.
