The RIR120CDM040B from RIR Power Electronics is a Silicon Carbide Schottky Diode that is suitable for solar inverters, EV charging stations/OBCs, power factor correction, industrial motor drives, induction heating/welding applications. It has a forward voltage of 1.7 V and can withstand reverse voltage of up to 1200 V. This diode has a forward current rating of 40 A and has a reverse current of less than 300 µA. It dissipates a power of 556 W and operates from -55 to +175°C. This power diode has zero reverse recovery current and has high surge current capability. It provides fast switching independent of temperature and is designed with improved system efficiency. This RoHS-compliant Schottky diode is available in a through-hole package that measures 41.59 x 16.13 x 5.20 mm.
